A California Soul with

Chinese, Cambodian Roots

My name is Lisa Chau. I'm an adventurer by spirit, a do-gooder by heart, and a go-getter by nature.

An avid love of traveling has blessed my stomach with food from all around the world. I'm fascinated by food's ability to bring people together and cross cultural barriers. Through food, we can tell stories...and for me, this is my family's.

Food gives you a tangible connection to home. The smell of your favorite dish, the sound of something being stirred in a frying pan, the taste of a home cooked meal. Very few things compare. This cookbook started as a way for me to preserve my family's recipes. In learning about the culinary traditions, I realized it was just as important to preserve our cultural history.
